I have the same need.    There are number of Dewalt 20v compatible tool suppliers like Mellif who make very useful tools.  Wonder who will make it to market first?   Either way, I look forward to purchasing an extension pole for my pruner.

Pole pruner a must. I hope its in the design phase for next year

Seriously…I emailed DeWalt on this exact subject a few weeks ago and got the same response as the OP.  Its been over a year now.  Other electric tool providers offer an electric pole shear model…Milwaukee, Ryobi…even Amazon has knockoffs from China.  I'm loyal to DeWalt tools as they've never let me down.  Why won't DeWalt manufacture what the customers ask for?  SMH.

I have a need for this as well.  At 70 years old, getting on  a ladder with a pole saw is not smart.  Having a pruner on a pole would be a fantastic addition to my tools.

Ive moved on, deWalt has also. Boight a great Milwaukee pole trimmer, works like a cgarm . De Walt will be like Kodak soon…history

Moved on as well…bought 2 x Ryobi pole pruners.  First non-DeWalt power tools I’ve bought in probably 7-8 years.
