You would think the dewalt community would have some answers. We’ll try this, get a good fully charged battery, put a wire from B+ to B+ and A+ to A + for a few seconds then try to charge it. Also try cleaning the contacts

Bought Dewalt 20 v 6AH battery less than 4 months ago and it won’t hold a charge have bought 6 or 7 batteries and have never had any trouble Have purchased several battery powered tools and love them. Would appreciate a replacement for this battery they are too expensive not to work Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I have 4 5ah stack batteries that are less than 6 months old and 3 of them say fully charged on the charger but don’t work and 1 shows all bars on battery indicator are on and stay on and will power a tool just isn’t right

My newest battery, an 8AH 20vXR DCB208, does the same. It still has one light when the button is tested, but wouldn't run my string trimmer. It does work with my bluetooth speaker and small worklight. But it does not take a charge. It will blink a few seconds and then turn solid red without having charged. Another two batteries charged fine on that charger, but I tried another charger anyhow. No joy.  I did clean the contacts.

I haven't used it but a few times so I've very disappointed because it was costly. I've never had an issue with any of my other DeWalt products ever, so I didn't even make an account before now. I own a ToughSystem rolling tower full of 20V power tools and just bought an XL for the overflow. That is without counting my outdoor power equipment. I'm loyal, I've even gotten friends and family into purchasing DeWalt 20V. Although I have been considering Flexvolt.

    Exactly the same. Thanks Catherine!
