Compressor not working

The compressor in these units are junk. I connect to tire, set to desired air pressure, it air and compressor comes on for a second then compressor shuts off. The tire is not up to pressure. Is there any repair for these units. It sounds like this is a pretty common issue with these DeWalt units. If these do lot last longer than this I will find another brand to purchase.
