ERR5 on DCC201b Tire inflator - bad pressure sensor
AnsweredI'm getting an err5 - bad pressure sensor on my 20v tire inflator. Can I buy the part and replace myself? If not, what are my options for repair? Seems a waste to throw away and buy a new one.

Hi Edward Wrinkle
As per our records, our customer service team was able to assist you, if you need further assistance, please let us know. -
What was the answer to his question? I don't see it on me end. I'm getting the same error. It's been happening for awhile and it finally went out.

Thanks...Monte -
I’m having the same issue. ERR5. Please advise how to resolve the issue?

Same issue here. Err 5. Sent unit back to Dewalt for repair (18 months old and barely used)
Told this…’ unfortunately we are unable to provide a quote for this job as some essential required parts are no longer available’So, effectively cannot be repaired and been told to replace at own cost as outside warranty. Clearly this is not an isolated issue gathering from other comments posted here and elsewhere.
Woeful service, I expected better from Dewalt.

Terrible support from DeWalt again!
I have a DeWALT DCC018 has stopped working and is showing ERR5. just two years old and barely used.
I thought I was purchasing a quality branded product but turns out your products are just as unreliable as cheap alternatives. I will stick with Makita next time, at least I can purchase the pats to fix them!
-
Not quite two years old and pressure sensor (Er5) code. Dewalt customer service said someone would contact me, nothing!
Spoke to the authorized repair center and was told it couldnt be repaired and for $89.99 i could get another.
Hopefully Dewalt figures this out and can make a longer lasting inflator. I'll give it a few before buying another one, if i end up doing so.

Same here. Bought mine at Home Depot Nov. 2023. Went belly up July, 2024. Little over 6 months. I'm being asked for
pictures of the error code and receipt and date code on the unit. Ok, we'll see. I wonder if it's even worth bothering with?
-
Same Here. Threw it in the Bin after 8 months of little use. Good Idea but useless parts and service.
-
I just got one of these as a gift from my son. I took it out of the box and went over all the features to see how they worked. Went to the garage and hooked it up to my mower to fill the tire and got the Er5 code. Everything else works but the tire inflator.

less than 30 tires topped off in 1 year
now a OP alert then er5 issue, this is my very first dewalt tool out of dozens that has just completely failed me
for goodness sake sell the defective part separately or better yet improve it and send out a better part
