DEWALT BATTERY OPERATED PUSH AND SELF-PROPELLED WALK BEHIND MOWER, MODEL YEAR 2024

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, DEWALT is recalling battery operated mowers because of a possible laceration hazard. When the mower gets soaking wet, water intrusion into the handle control of the mower can create electrical shorting and the mower may not turn off when the bail handle is released; or if the battery is not removed prior to storage and there is considerable water intrusion, the mower could start with the key out.

The following models are affected:

• Model DCMWP234U2 DEWALT 2X 20V Max 21” Self-Propelled (yellow deck, yellow handle panels)
• Model DCMWSP256U2 DEWALT 2X 20V Max 21” Push (yellow deck, black handle panels)
• Model DCMWP600X2 DEWALT 60V Max 21” Self-Propelled (black deck, yellow handle panels)
• Model DCMWSP650Y2 DEWALT 60V Max 21 In” Push (black deck, black handle panels)

The model number is printed on the black model plate located on the rear door of the mower. Only mowers with date codes 2023 32 through 2024 13 are affected. The date code is laser printed in yellow on the left-hand side of mower above the rear wheel. Mowers manufactured after March 2024 (2024 14-58) are not affected. REMEDY

DEWALT is offering a free repair. We will replace the upper handle control and wiring harness with a new one; designed to ensure the mower works properly, even if it gets soaking wet. Use the service center locator to find the nearest repair center in your area. We recommend contacting the service center to schedule an appointment.

IF YOUR MOWER IS AFFECTED, DO NOT GET IT WET AND DISCONNECT YOUR BATTERY WHEN NOT IN USE, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and find the nearest repair center.
