In the Site Manager platform, the "Assignment" feature allows end users to track and manage various tasks, projects, people, or items such as trucks.
1. Under the assignment you have the ability to add assets and keep track of the tools and equipment you have available for various assignments or projects.
Also, helps you to easily identify which tools are assigned to specific assignments, making it easier to locate them when needed and who is the responsible and point of contact person.
How to add a new assignment
2. Start by selecting the Assignment tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
3. Click on the '+ Add Assignment' button in the top right corner.
4. The new assignment panel will display, presenting various fields to fill out.
5. Enter the assignment name. This is the only required field*.
6. If applicable, fill out additional fields such as job code, location, details, point of contact, and sub-assignment. These fields are optional and can be left blank if not relevant.
7. If you hover over the "?" mark icon, it provides an explanation of what a home assignment is. You can check off the box if you want the assignment to serve as a home location for all your tools.
8. Under the Details section, choose the main point of contact for the assignment.
Additionally, you can make this assignment a sub-assignment by checking the checkbox and selecting the assignment.
You also have the option to enable "Receive periodic assignment report emails" by toggling the switch.
9. After entering all the required information, click on the "Save" button. This will create the assignment and save it in the system.
