On the Web
If you wish to remove tools from your account you can remove any non-Tool Connect™ tool from the web interface as long as you are an account Administrator. Site Admins and Managers cannot remove tools from an account. If you wish to remove a tool that is linked to a tag or connector you must un-link the tool first (Pairing and Linking DEWALT Tool Connect Tools, Batteries, Tags, and Connectors (Tool Connect Site Manager). Once you have unlinked the tools you can delete the now unconnected tool from your account. If you wish to delete a Tool Connect™ Tool, Tag, or Connector from your account you must do this from the Site Manager mobile app.
To delete an unconnected tool from your account, make sure you are in the Inventory section on the web.
You can choose to remove tools one at a time or in a batch action. To delete tools one at a time, click on the name of the tool, then click the delete button, the tool will be deleted.
To delete multiple tools at the same time, click the check box next to each tool that you wish to delete.
You will notice a menu of icons appears along the top row with the name 'Manage', click on the 'Delete" icon that looks like a trash can . You will be asked to confirm your selection.
In the Mobile App
Removing Tool Connect™ enabled products such as Tools, Batteries, Tags, and Connectors from your account can only be done through the Site Manager app. You must have Administrator permissions and must be within Bluetooth range (roughly 30-100 feet depending on conditions). Site Admins and Managers cannot remove tools from an account.
To remove a Tool Connect™ enabled tool, choose the 'Inventory' tab on the bottom of the application.
Tap on the three dots on the right-hand side of the tool you wish to remove, then tap ‘Unpair’ to confirm you want to remove the tool.
Once unpaired, it can then be paired to something else.
You must have Administrator permissions to remove unconnected tools. Site Admins and Managers cannot remove tools from an account.
To remove an unconnected tool tap on the three dots on the right-hand side of the tool you wish to remove. Then tap 'Delete Tool'.
Site Manager will ask you to confirm that you wish to delete the tool. To confirm tap 'Delete Tool' or tap 'Cancel' to back out. The tool will be removed from your account.
