On the Web
Auditing for unconnected tools is not available through the Tool Connect™ Site Manager website at this time. Please check back regularly, as new features will be released continuously.
In the Mobile App
Tools that do not have Tool Connect Bluetooth technology built in can be manually audited in the Site Manager mobile app in two different ways. If you're using a tool without Tool Connect technology, consider linking it to a DEWALT Tool Connect-enabled Battery, Tag, or Connector. For more information, see Pairing and Linking DEWALT Tool Connect™ Tools, Batteries, Tags, and Connectors. You can choose to either manually audit the tool with a barcode if you have associated a barcode to it, or by checkboxes if a barcode was not associated with a tool.
Auditing with the barcode
To manually audit tools which have barcodes associated with them tap on 'Assignments' on the bottom of the screen.
Then, tap on the assignment that your tools are assigned to to see details. Your tools are grouped into two tabs: 'Needs Audit', and 'Audited'.
Tap ‘Scan Barcode’ to start the process of auditing via barcode. You can scan both third party barcodes, as well as DEWALT barcodes that you have associated with your tools.
A new window will appear with your device's camera open, point your camera at the barcode of the tool you wish to audit and Site Manager will detect it.
Site Manager will ask you to confirm that you have scanned the correct barcode. You can choose to continue scanning barcodes or return to your list of tools that need to be audited.
Auditing tools via barcode under the 'Needs Audit' tab will automatically move them to the 'Audited' tab.
Manually auditing a tool with a barcode updates its Audit Status and Assignment data to the cloud, as long as your mobile device is connected to the internet via an LTE or WiFi connection. This data will sync and can be seen on both the web and in the mobile app.
