From the 'Assignments' Screen
To create a sub assignment navigate to the 'Assignments' screen using the link in the left sidebar. Click or tap the 'New Assignment' button in the upper right-hand corner;
a modal window will appear. Enter a job code (optional), name for the assignment (required), and address (optional). Then check the box to 'Make this a Sub Assignment of:' and choose what you want the parent assignment to be by clicking on it, then click or tap 'SAVE'.
Once the sub assignment is created you will see it listed below the parent assignment, you can click the grey bar that says 'Sub Assignments' to expand it and see all of the Sub Assignments.
To edit or deactivate a sub assignment click or tap on the gear on the right hand side of the sub assignment you wish to edit or deactivate.
A new window will appear with the options to edit the sub assignment, or to deactivate the sub assignment. To edit the sub assignment update any fields you wish then click or tap save, otherwise click or tap deactivate. You must remove all assigned tools from the sub assignment prior to deactivation.
When you click or tap deactive you will be asked to confirm.
When you click or tap 'Yes' you will be taken back to the Assignment view. At the bottom of the page you can view all deactivated Assignments and sub assignments.
To reactivate the sub assignment click or tap on the gear. Then click or tap 'Activate'. You will be asked to confirm your decision.
You will then be returned to the Assignment list view with the sub assignment returned to its original Assignment.
From the 'Import' Screen
Adding, editing, and deactivating Sub Assignments is not available in the 'Import' Screen at this time. Please check back regularly, as new features will be released continuously.
In the Mobile App
