Tool Connect™ products and the Site Manager mobile application both rely on Bluetooth® technology to both broadcast and detect a signal. The range that your device will detect a Tool Connect™ product will vary depending on the conditions of both the product and the device. If both items are in an open air setting you may detect items 100ft-150ft from your device. The more obstacles between the Tool Connect™ product and your device, the more the range in which your device can detect the Tool Connect™ product will be impacted. Things like steel, concrete, and wiring are examples that can affect the range of the Bluetooth® devices.
