Batteries are not working in Blower
AnsweredI have 2 DCE100 handheld blowers. I got one 2 years ago and another last week. Neither blower works with the fatter batteries like the 4AH and above. They both run for 1½ to 2 SECONDS and stop. I have to release the trigger and try again over and over with the very same result.
I thought it was compatible with ANY battery. All ads and product info states that ANY 20v battery will work. But in my case, only the small thin batteries up to 2AH will work. They only last about 8 to 10 minutes which makes my 2 blowers useless.
I have tried the DCB204 4AM batter and the 6AH battery but same issue with both. What is going on with your blowers and why will neither work with the larger 20v batteries??? And yes, my batteries are fully charged.
I have even seen this blower being sold as a package with the 4AH battery so why won't it work with mine???

I have this same issue as well. The blower starts and runs with a 1.5ah battery for about 1-2 seconds then shuts off. Can someone please help me?
EDIT: I also tried using this battery in another one of my tools yesterday (20v handheld circular saw) and saw the same behavior. The saw ramped up speed for about 1-2 seconds before shutting off.

I am having the same issue with my blower. It is less than 2 months old. I have trues 3 different dewalt batteries that are charged and working in other dewalt tools. Also still showing charged when plugged it to charger. Any advice would be appreciated. Very disappointing. I’ve got things to blow!! 🤣
