My 20V electric saw leaks oil the same way.  I returned it and got another one.  It leaks too!  What a pain in the but.

Same issue. Only used a couple times. Sits on flat surface and leaks oil.

I’m seeing the same issue with chain oil leaking. Is there a solution?

    Hello,

Thank you all for contacting us, it is normal for the oil to leak when not in use, as the owner's manual recommends "Always empty the oil tank when finished cutting."

    Regards.

Seems like a design flaw as it is both inconvenient and messy to go through draining the chain oil each time it is used, so using a rubber o ring to keep a tight seal (if the factory one is missing - it doesn’t go in the groove in the cap but is seated in the channel the cap screws into) seems an option, but storing it with the blade facing straight up (sitting on the battery if you leave it in) seems to do the trick.
