DCMWSP244 Mower Blade Rotation

Infrequently, my DCMWSP244 mower blade will ,on its own initiative, temporarily rotate fast enough to pick up leaves or make the grass stand up properly for cutting.  But most of the time it rotates too slow.  How can I force it to run at high speed all the time?

  John, I have the same problem. Currently, my mower is leaving behind a large amount of uncut grass.  Did Dewalt help you figure this out?  If not I am returning this to Home Depot. I have to go over the same row 3 or 4 times to get it fully cut.

  Similar to above, I have an issue with my blade spinning fast enough to cut evenly and completely. My unit is DCMWP233U2-CA. Please help.

  Sorry I inadvertently sent this answer directly to Ed Neuhaus last July and not to this forum, but here it is:

  After considerable discussion almost always barking up the wrong tree, the “official” advice was take it to a local authorized repair shop to see if they can “fix” it. Haven’t done so — too far away and too long a wait, I’m sure. Finally signed up for lawn service … at least for the Texas summer ;-)

  Still using the lawn service ;-)
