DeWalt DXAEJ14 Jump Starter Compressor

The compressor is not creating any air, but sounds like its running.  Everything else on the machine appears to be working fine.

Any ideas on what might be causing the problem?  Something like a frozen piston?  I don't think it's a fuse, otherwise it wouldn't make any noise at all.

  The unit is fully charged but when you try to turn the compressor on, nothing happens. You set the desired pressue and hit the “Air ” Button and nothing. Is the unit junk?

  Got you bro. Plastic gear is probaly striped out. It screems a little louder. Try bouncing it when its on or smacking it. Some times you can get the gear to stick and work for 1 more fill up. I haven't found replacement pump or gear yet
