Lousy router welds to battery, no removal, no replacement given
December 21, 2020
To Whom It May Concern,
I bought a new DeWalt router and battery earlier this year (April 2020) from Home Depot. I used it a couple of times and tried to recharge the battery for the first time. The battery apparently welded itself to the router housing. I took it to Whitton Supply, a DeWalt authorized repair facility here in OKC, OK on 19 July 2020. They informed me that they could not get the battery to disengage from the unit either and had to send it back to the manufacturer and that it would take 3-4 weeks. I call in regularly for status updates but have finally exhausted all my patience in retrieving my replacement router and battery. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of service and response from DeWalt. If you could refund my money, I will be glad to purchase elsewhere. I will withhold releasing these details from social media for the next 20 working days, thereafter, I will follow through with a Small Claims suit against DeWalt and suspect I will never do business with DeWalt again.
