Hi, I am having this same issue. Is there a solution to this problem?

  • Michael Ash

I’m also having the same issue with the spring not holding tension to keep the nozzle in place.  Please help. Thanks.

I am having the same issue. Only a month old.

    Thanks for help

Same Issue.  Barely used!  Nozzle suddenly fell off  - think the spring slipped forward so there's no longer any tension

I appreciate your help fixing this.

I am having the same issue. I received my blower as a Christmas gift and the tube keeps coming off when I use it.  Can the solution be posted as a reply to these comments?

Same problem with mine.  Dewalt, there is clearly a fundamental problem with the design or manufacturing of this locking mechanism.  Please step up and fix the problem.  Your preferred solution of having us send the  tool to one of your service centers is not a reasonable solution.

I also have the same issue. I also want to include that I have two of these one for my self and another I bought for a family member who gave it back to me because the tube keeps either shooting or falling out. I tried to return to the original retailer for warranty replacement/repair but both chin stores, both authorized retailers refused to accept them back either for exchange or repair so now have been stuck with them trying to fix them my self. Because when I called in I was told to take them back. But the retainer hides behind their store policy to supersede your warranty.

I have the same issue. The Dewalt manual states: 4. To remove the tube, insert a screwdriver into the unlocking hole  10  on the side of the blower tube. Depress the tab inside and pull tube off. Fig. D 8 4 9 1.   Below links to see this locking tab.

This is what has broken on my unit and to replace it (if the part is even available) requires splitting the unit which I'm not willing to do. I simply drilled a small hole in the bottom of the unit housing and the tube (same time same hole) and then inserted a small screw that is slightly bigger than the hole.  This holds the tube securely onto the unit. If it works loose someday I'll simply put a slightly larger screw in the hole or drill another hole.

    Mike
