Dewalt batteries not charging
BeantwoordI have purchased 2 5ah battery charger combos with bags and they wouldn't charge I had to return them both.
I've been using your tools for over a decade exclusively, so I don't need you telling me how to properly seat a battery.
I purchased the new double stack batteries today after returning one of the above listed combos and they won't charge?
Have you guys fired all of your quality control testers?
As a long time customer, I need to know wtf is going on... so I can find another brand of tools to get work done.
Thank you for wasting my time Dewalt.

I had the same problem I bought two of the drill /impact drill combo sets and in both sets the batteries and or chargers were trash . Swapped them around and nada. Returned them to where I bought them the following day and they told me they had a bunch returned and recommended Milwaukee combo they had in stock so I went that way because I had wasted enough time on this crap. I think your on to something with the QC statement. Definitely gone down hill in recent years. What a shame

Hello Rafael Montanez and thank you for your feedback. The issue may be with your charger, not the battery. If you haven't given up on us, we would like to help. We will reach out to you in an email. Thank you for your time.

Happened to me just now, 1 of the 2 batteries in the combo pack I purchased won’t charge. I tried all the usual and not working. I have multiple working chargers and batteries so that’s not it.
Return costs to seller would be prohibitive since the rest of the combo works and it’s 2hours away for a drive. DCD792D2. -
I'm having the same problem. 2 of the power stack 5ah batteries purchased maybe 3 weeks ago and now 1 of them isn't charging. Even bought a new charger when I bought the batteries and didn't help a thing. I'm sick of paying ridiculous prices for batteries that don't last. I've went through at least 6 different batteries in the past 2 years and the same thing happens to every single one of them but 3 weeks is ridiculous.

I am glad i found this section and we can share the absolute frustration this product has and continues to cause us. I am a 20 year plus devoted and absolute solely promoter of Dewalt power tools, hand tools, jackets, clothing etc. I have purchased over 20 flex tools, and well over 40 - 20 volt standard tools. Anyone that has ever met me knows “i only bleed in Yellow” As of Nov 5 2024 I am down to the option of using 1 of 2 of my 20 volt small 1.5 ah batteries. My basket or bone yard of batteries total over 15 -60 volts power flex 6.0 ah and well over 30 of the smaller ones. My final straw was when i purchased a power stack new LED batteries (for $320.00) They both failed right at 100 days and home depot had the balls to refuse the return because it was after 90 days. Sure find it odd that they both failed on the same day. This isnt counting the 12 volt at least 8 or possibly more dead batteries as well.
Before you go off claiming that i was rough on my tools. I never left them on a chrager more than 5 minutes after fully charged . Never were left in direct sun or out in the rain or cold temperatures. I regularly cleaned the terminals and or contact points with a nylon brush being careful not to use a brass or steel one due to the arcing that could be caused if used.
The funny part is my 18 volt batteries that i bought over 20 years ago still hold charge and with the adapter from 18-20 volt They are my go to batteries at this point. Please anyone that has experienced this same problem like comment and share with everyone you know. Dewalt has made billions off dollars off of us and has offered me only reasons and bullcrap excuses and answers. If i spend 200 plus on a battery it better last me well over 90 days and i should never ever hear from a company that I am loyal to is “ Sorry sir my hands are tied your date on your battery is over 3 years old. My good friend and competition who i have had alot of trash talking fun with has never had Milwaukee battery fail. We both have indoor trailers and maintain our tools the same way. The one compliment i can offer Dewalt, is not one of my power tools has ever failed or broke just the batteries have failed me time and time again.
