Trimmer motor for DCST990

I have a DCST990 40v trimmer and have determined the motor part #90612977SV is bad and is now obsolete. Does anyone know if the motor from a 990B or 990H1 will work given all other parts work. I believe the newer versions are brushless. This has been a great trimmer and I have a charger and two batteries that are basically useless. If I could find a new motor or complete trimmer for parts i would like to deal with anyone. If unable to find I will probably use the batteries as portable car jump starters or some other power source. Thanks in advance.

First, 990B or 990H1 are the same unit DCST990 (990B letter "B" means "bare tool" and 990H1 digits "H1" means that unit comes in a kit).
Second, the only motor available for that model is motor with part #90638791 (only compatible with DCST990 - Type 2). The motor 90612977SV (only for Type 1) was already discontinued as you mentioned, but you can find it available in the after market.
