The new framing nailers (D51850/D51825) are replacing the (D51845/D51823). The new framing nailers have a bigger profile, are heavier and have less rated inch pounds of power than the models they are replacing. The tools being replaced provided a:
Our target for the new framing nailer is :
With regards to the power, although we have a smaller power rating number, we have optimized our delivery allowing the user to perform the same applications using less air. This might sound complicated, but we use less air, the more air the more power the nailer delivers since there is more pressure built. We were able to modify when the maximum power is delivered, our nailer delivers the peak power at the end of the stoke (when the driver hits the nail and sinks it into the material. Therefore allowing us to be able to have the same penetration power and delivering a more efficient tool that uses less air. This is important since it means the user will have a better performance on their nailer with less air requirement from its compressor. Which allows them to run more nailers or run them more efficiently on their compressor. For further specifications on the nailers you can visit the Dewalt framing nailer product page. |
