The DW715 was discontinued back in 2019 for the DWS715.

The differences in the two saws are outlined in the slide below, but ultimately it was done to remain UL compliant per changes in the IEC Regulations.

When we made those changes, we did lower the vertical cutting capacity from 6-1/2” on the DW715 to 5-1/2” on the DWS715.
