The typical estimated life of a Lithium-Ion battery is about two to three years or
300 to 500 charge cycles, whichever occurs first. One charge cycle is a period
of use from fully charged, to fully discharged, and fully recharged again. Use a
two to three-year life expectancy for batteries that do not run through complete
charge cycles.
Rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries have a limited life and will gradually lose
their capacity to hold a charge. This loss of capacity (aging) is irreversible. As
the battery loses capacity, the length of time it will power the product (run time)
decreases.

Had 3 20V 5amp hr batteries and 2 chargers for a couple of years. Seldom need to recharge - one or twice only. Recently bought a DeWalt leaf blower and ran all 3 batteries down to 1 of 3 charge indicator lights. None are recharging.
Help.
Did anyone ever respond to you? I'm having the same problem with no response after a week.
Can I charge new 20v batteries in a DCB107 charger and will my 20v MAX LITHIUM ION batteries run the model DCS380b recriprocating saw?
20V batteries are all cross-compatible with all 20v tools and chargers. Some tools work better with higher power batteries, like saws and grinders, and faster chargers are recommended for larger batteries. However, the tools will still work, but will be less powerful, and batteries can take longer to charge on slower chargers. It's only when you get into flexvolt that you run into some issues. IE FV batteries can run 20v tools, but 20v batteries can't run FV-only tools. I know it's a bit late, but hope this helps someone.
Being new to this game I wonder that people put up with batteries that last only two or three years.
I have a 6amp battery and the the bottom screws are falling out. I tried to put them back in and they are stripped. I can't find a number on here to call to find out what to do. It’s gorilla taped now but hard to get into the tool.
