The DWHT11004 is made to dispense blades and as a safety container to store old used blades.
Looking at the DWHT11004 the yellow part on the bottom pulls out to dispense a blade (one at a time). The top right corner is where you will put the blade that need to be thrown away. Once you have used all the blades the entire container can be thrown away.

The used blade holding area does not have anything to keep the blades from falling backwards and getting jammed in the holder and when it gets several several blades in the used blade holder it is rendered useless. No more used blade storage.
