DCA1820 will fit most 18V DEWALT tools; the exceptions are listed below. Please note, on the DC500, DW074, and DW079, it will fit and work, but the door will not close on the battery and adapter.

Most DEWALT 20V batteries work with DCA1820.
However, DCA1820 should not be used with DEWALT 20V premium batteries (DCB200, DCB204, DCB204BT, DCB205) in 18-Volt compact drills DC970, DC759 (instead, use DCB201, DCB203, DCB203BT).

Is the DCA1820 adapter and 20v batteries compatible with the DCD951 (Type 1), DC385 (Type 2), and DC390 (Type 1) tools?
I was getting frustrated looking for my 18V drill and saw models on this list until I went back and read the intro again. These are the exceptions, not a full list. so not seeing your model here is a good thing. You should still read the note at the bottom though, I have a DC759 drill, so I can't use some of the new 20V batteries with it.
