Add Assets
1. There are two ways to add non-connected tools to your account: You can upload a spreadsheet of tools via the Import function or add tools one at a time.
Add tools one at a time
2. Click the + icon - ‘Add Assets’ in the top right corner of the screen, and a window will appear.
3. Start by typing in a model number, manufacture and adding a description.
4. If you are adding a DEWALT tool you can save some time by typing in the model number which will autofill information about the tool.
Category
5. By categorizing tools, you can effectively filter and organize your inventory. Select from the drop-down menu under which category the tool should be organized or click "Create new" button.
6. Type the new name category.
7. Click "Save"
8. Click on the drop-down menu to select the tool status.
Tool Information
9. To ensure accurate results, especially when dealing with tools from other systems, it is crucial to take the time to include the identification number, serial number, and barcode of the tool.
Additionally, entering the purchase date and price will further enhance the output.
Assignment
10. Under the Assignment field, you can specify where the tool should be assigned, either to a project, job site, truck, or warehouse.
Additionally, you have the choice to create a new assignment.
11. Click "Create new"
12. Enter the name of the assignment and click "Save".
In the Custom fields, you also have the ability to input notes regarding the tool.
Upload Image Tool
13. Click on the image profile of the tool.
14. Select the "Upload" option.
15. Locate the desired image in your file explorer. Click "Save image" button to save the image.
16. Once you have filled out all the desired tool information, scroll down and click on the "Save" button.
17. You will see the new tool added to your inventory.
Tool Information
18. Click on the tool to see the tools details.
19. You will see Assets details, Assignment and Audit info.
How to Delete Tool
20. Scroll down in the assets details and click on the "Delete item" button if you wish to delete the tool.
21. A confirmation message will appear asking if you want to delete the tool from your inventory.
22. Click on "Yes" to confirm the deletion.
23. After confirming, the tool will no longer be visible in your inventory.
