In Tool Connect™ Site Manager, Assignments can represent a warehouse, a job site, a shipping container, a truck, or a job box. Sub Assignments can represent a small part of a larger Assignment and allow for containerization or grouping of tools within an Assignment. For example, an Assignment could be an entire job site, and the Sub Assignments could represent job boxes at that job site; or an Assignment could represent a company’s service division with the Sub Assignments being the service trucks. Inventory, Site Admins, & Managers can be assigned for better visibility and accountability. For more information on assigning tools, see Assigning Inventory (Tool Connect™ Site Manager).
Home Assignment is a new designation you can give to both Assignments & Sub Assignments. A Home Assignment allows you to denote a default assignment for new tools, and automatically marks all tools transferred to it as "Available". This helps you stay on top of tool onboarding, as well as making sure your team knows what is available whether it is at a warehouse, tool Room, or any other place tools might be stored.
